History
Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune parcels are lyre-shaped. This technique allows the sun to shine within the vine rows and ensures quick ripening and prevents diseases.
Vinification and maturing
Vintage : 2009
What we remember in particular is that great weather conditions all through the growing cycle of the vine gave the winegrowers some rest regarding the development of diseases in the vineyard. A tough winter followed by a sunny spring lead to a fast flowering (around the 22nd of May); as a consequence, there was neither shattering nor cut in the yields. Then, the summer was sunny and hot, but without heatwaves, which allowed to keep the vineyard in a perfect sanitary condition and bring the grapes to very good maturity levels.
Harvesting began around the 20th of September in the Côte Chalonnaise.
White wines from this vintage are very aromatic and generous, with a very round profile. It’s typically the kind of vintage that brings the terroir out.
